UAE Corporate Tax applies at 9% on taxable income above AED 375,000, and every resident business must register with the Federal Tax Authority β€” even if no tax is ultimately due. Missing the registration deadline alone carries an AED 10,000 penalty.

We register you on EmaraTax, prepare the tax computation from your financial statements, assess Small Business Relief and Qualifying Free Zone Person status, file the annual return, and de-register the entity when it ceases trading.

Scope of Work

  • CT registration and TRN issuance on EmaraTax
  • Registration deadline assessment (FTA Decision 3 of 2024)
  • Tax computation with accounting-to-tax adjustments
  • Small Business Relief and Qualifying Free Zone Person assessment
  • Annual CT return preparation and filing
  • Transfer pricing disclosure and related-party schedules
  • Tax group and loss relief planning
  • CT de-registration on cessation or liquidation

Registration is mandatory even if you expect a nil liability β€” and the return is due nine months after your financial year-end.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does my free zone company need to register for Corporate Tax?

Yes. Free zone entities must register and file returns. Qualifying Free Zone Persons may pay 0% on qualifying income, but only if they meet substance, audit and income conditions.

When is the Corporate Tax return due?

The return and any tax payable are due within nine months of the end of the tax period β€” for a 31 December year-end, by 30 September of the following year.

Can a dormant company be de-registered for Corporate Tax?

A company must apply to de-register within three months of ceasing business, after filing its final return and settling any liabilities. We manage the full process, including licence cancellation coordination.
